This nation has many beautiful and engaging cities to visit, including the capital Madrid, Cordoba, Granada, Seville and Valencia but the most popular city to visit is Barcelona where the country’s best field hockey teams are also found. Barcelona is located on the Mediterranean Sea and has a wealth of cultural attractions, such as Anton Gaudi’s dazzling Sagrada Familia basilica and other landmarks by the famed Spanish architect, such as Parc Guell, Casa Batllo and Casa Mila.
Field Hockey
There are several accomplished Women’s Field Hockey teams in the Barcelona area, with some of them capable of playing NCAA D-1 tournament-level teams. Ample opportunities for competition are also available for American D-2 and D-3 teams plus high school squads. Opposing teams for games are available most months, including March and May but not August.
